Work is now underway on a co-ordinated programme designed to inform and guide the development of future System-on-Chip (SoC).  Carefully chosen to address specific technical issues currently hindering the development of advanced intregrated electronic solutions, the programme's elements inlcude:

• On-chip device shielding and packaging
• Photonic band-gap and metamaterial structures for controlling mm wave signals
• Hybrid planar technologies for microwave applications
• Wireless Architectures for Gigabit/sec radio
