Wireless Networking
The projects outlined in this section describe the research lead by Dr E Garcia in the wireless networks and wireless protocols research area. Current research also includes some projects carried out in close collaboration with Dr S Sezer, the research leader in accelerated hardware architectures for fixed networks from ECIT’s SoC research cluster.
The research comprises a wide range of research topics. These include: traffic modelling, radio channel modelling, scheduling architectures performance assessment, tag computation hardware implementation using FPGAs, secure protocols for wireless sensor networks and wireless ad-hoc networks, wireless MAC protocols, hardware accelerated IP packet classification and hardware accelerated packet inspection.
