Professor Colin Cowan
Technical director, DSP for communications
Colin Cowan was appointed to the Nortel Networks/Royal Academy of Engineering research chair of Telecommunications Systems Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast in 1996. Between 1991 to 1996 he held the post of Professor of Signal Processing at Loughborough University where he was also head of the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering. Previously, he held posts as lecturer and reader in the Electrical Engineering Department at Edinburgh University.
